Bayley Infant Neurodevelopmental Screener (BINS) quickly screens infants at risk for neurological impairment or developmental delay.
- Takes only 5 to 10 minutes to administer and just a few minutes to score, helping practitioners meet requirements of the IDEA 2004
- Assesses basic neurological functions, auditory and visual receptive functions, verbal and motor expressive functions, and cognitive processes
- Includes item sets containing 11 to 13 items selected from the Bayley Scales of Infant Development®–Second Edition (BSID–II) and neurological assessments
- Provides normative data from a nonclinical sample and a clinical sample of infants in NICU follow-up clinics

Use the checklist to familiarize yourself with those items that can be observed outside the standard administration order, saving precious administration time. Make paper copies or use a grease pencil to note observed items, then later transfer to the master record form.
