Versant English Four Skills Test

 

Overview: The Versant™ English Four Skills Test has been specially designed to automatically evaluate speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a workplace environment. The assessment uses both Versant speech processing technology and as the Knowledge Analysis Technologies™ (KAT) engine to provide a comprehensive view into the test taker’s English proficiency. The Versant™ English Four Skills Test has been used in corporate recruitment and training programs throughout the world to evaluate the English skills of staff or recruitment candidates.

The Versant™ English Four Skills Test has been used in corporate recruitment and training programs throughout the world to evaluate the English skills of staff or recruitment candidates.

Tests are taken on a computer and are scored by advanced automated scoring systems including the Knowledge Analysis Technologies™ (KAT) engine which evaluates the meaning of text by examining whole written passages.

Scoring

The Knowledge Analysis Technologies™ (KAT) testing system automatically scores the writing test and provides scores for each of the skill areas (grammar, vocabulary, organization, voice & tone, and reading comprehension) as well as an overall score.  Scores are available in the form of score reports within minutes after a test is completed.
