Domenic V. Cicchetti, PhD

Domenic V. Cicchetti, Ph.D., is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds three academic positions in the Yale University School of Medicine: Senior Research Scientist, Senior Biostatistician, and Senior Research Psychologist. With a primary appointment at the Child Study Center, he also holds joint appointments in the Departments of Epidemiology and Public Health, Biometry, and Psychiatry. He also holds an appointment as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Windsor, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.


He is coauthor of the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, and author or coauthor of 200 research publications in behavioral and biomedical research, computer science, and biostatistics. He is a Fellow in Division 5 of the American Statistical Association (Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics) and is internationally known for his work in the development, assessment of psychometric properties, and application of major clinical instruments in behavioral and biomedical research. A number of these clinical instruments are widely considered to be standards in the field. He is also the author of a number of innovative statistical methodologies, primarily in the areas of reliability and validity assessment.
