Assess and Improve Social Skills with the SSIS™

A child’s social skills don’t just impact their ability to make friends in school, but cross over into every aspect of their daily lives. Effective screening, intervention measures, and progress monitoring can greatly improve social behaviors, motivation, and academic success. Used together, these tools offer a coordinated system for improving social skills in a classroom or group setting.

Performance Screening Guide

The Screening Guide fills the need for a time-efficient, technically sound tool for classwide screening of key social, motivational, and academic skills. For use with students in preschool through high school, this universal screening instrument helps assess and document the performance level of all students.

Educators identify the level of performance for the student for each of these areas to measure the student’s skills against grade-level expectations.

The SSIS Performance Screening Guide focuses on observable behaviors in these skill areas:
  • Prosocial behaviors
  • Motivation to learn
  • Reading and math skills
